Cries forlorn
\nBreak dawn’s
\nEclectic clarity
\nOf thought and sense;<\/p>\n
Cries born
\nOn baby’s breath;
\nWailing of one
\nLittle boy born
\nInto this world
\nOf darkness and death.<\/p>\n
Such innocence
\nNo man might declare –
\nFor no innocence
\nIs there.
\nThis body young,
\n(And Spirit old)
\nNot was or will be –
\nSpirit Is.<\/p>\n
The Spirit that
\nIs this new body’s
\nDoer, is such
\nFor in lives and
\nTime before,
\nThe thoughts
\nWhich were his
\nActions – deeds –
\nWhich caught him in
\nHis worldly greed,
\nRemain unbalanced,
\nAnd stain the palace
\nOf his Being.<\/p>\n
Would Kings cry
\nOn their palatial
\nDestruction?
\nWould baby die
\nFor the right
\nTo salvation?
\nBut baby cries
\nOn Spirit’s
\nEmaciation,
\nThat is this
\nThing Birth.<\/p>\n
Cast headlong
\nInto the world
\nAll little unseen
\nBoys and girls,
\nWhom know not Spirit –
\nKnow not Life –
\nMust live and breathe
\nAnd learn of Love,
\nFor naught but
\nAll awaits the
\nOnes for whom
\nOne is All and
\nAll is One.<\/p>\n
And on life and
\nRight living done,
\nSuch children
\nAre no longer;
\nFor a child is of
\nThe Earthbound plane:
\nYouth and age are
\nInseparable from time.
\nWhere no time is –
\nNo boys, no girls;
\nNo gender or age
\nAfflict the beings
\nWhose indiscriminate
\nThought forms are
