{"id":141,"date":"1985-09-09T23:40:35","date_gmt":"1985-09-10T06:40:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amigotico.com\/steve\/poetryblog\/?p=141"},"modified":"2011-05-22T00:12:37","modified_gmt":"2011-05-22T07:12:37","slug":"smell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smpoetry.amigotico.com\/index.php\/1985\/09\/09\/smell\/","title":{"rendered":"Smell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When faint sweet smells<br \/>\nImpinge upon my senses,<br \/>\nAnd beauty dawns upon<br \/>\nNature&#8217;s soft caresses,<br \/>\nTo caress my soul<br \/>\nInto a numbed happiness<br \/>\nOf knowing that my all<br \/>\nIs One with sedentary bliss.<\/p>\n<p>But bliss beyond this nature<br \/>\nIs of what I want to know,<br \/>\nThat beauteous nature&#8217;s awakenings<br \/>\nMay arouse my Love to flow<br \/>\nFrom my caressed Soul,<br \/>\nAnd happiness numbed of Earth,<br \/>\nAnd all of Earth&#8217;s misgivings;<br \/>\nOh!
