I have tasted
\nthe freedom of the ocean
\nthe freedom of the waves
\nthat set me apart
\nfrom those who
\nweren’t riding them<\/p>\n
I have tasted life
\nat its sweetest;
\nlife at its most
\nincomprehensible point of
\nsatisfaction
\nand understanding.<\/p>\n
There are times when
\nthat moment I would forget.
\nBut in remembering
\nmoments such as those
\nLife turns and becomes
\nanother part of the experience
\nthat is everything I want to be.<\/p>\n
I have faced waves
\nI have faced oceans
\nI have faced rivers
\nI have faced mountains<\/p>\n
I have faced myself
\nin the face of these
\nthat nature would
\npresent to challenge me<\/p>\n
and lost though
\nI am at times<\/p>\n
I cannot but face
\nthe reflections of myself
\nfrom which I would run
\nFrom which I would hide
\nand to which I will focus
\nall attention possible.<\/p>\n
It is this life that I lead now
\none of many that I don’t remember.
\nIt is this life that brings about
\nthe change in what I will remember.<\/p>\n
It is the moment
\nI have felt
\nwhen nothing else
\nis of any concern.<\/p>\n
It is the moment,
\nthe moments of my life
\nFor which I yearn.<\/p>\n
I have lived,
\nand I have surfed
\nand I have loved,
\nand I have grown
\nand everything I feel right now
\nis a part
