\nThat the righteous
\nhave deflated
\nAny value in my
\nRight

And what could be
\nThe cause
\nOf such
\nUnfounded laws
\nExtolled to
\nControl an
\nUntold
\nNumber of people<\/p>\n
Just like me.<\/p>\n
So it is
\nWith defatigation
\nAnd too much trepidation
\nThat I’ll start hopelessly
\nTo wander on
\nAnd wonder
\nHow it could have been.<\/p>\n
Though I’ll never
\nComprehend
\nThe means that got us
\nTo this end,
\nSuch consternation
\nAbout the ablation
\nOf common sense
