I’ll be looking at the world
\nthrough a different set of eyes
\nand feeling things more intensely
\nlike I’m a little more alive.
\nI’ll be basking in the sunshine
\nas emerged from hibernation,
\ntouching the cool sweet earth
\nto re-acquaint with the sensations.<\/p>\n
I’ll make up for all this lost time
\nand visit all my friends.
\nThere’ll be hugs and tears all around
\nas I begin to make amends,
\nand catch up on what’s been going on
\nforced detachment now no longer,
\nso confirmed how wonderful friends are
\nand my friendships have grown stronger. <\/p>\n
Life’s sweetness will then seem to be
\njust a little bit more sweetened
\nand music’s musicality
\nwill be a little bit more heightened
\nOf the oceans, mountains, deserts, rivers
\nI’ll be a little more appreciative
\nfor my time away from all of these
\nconfirmed what it means to live. <\/p>\n
But the sweetness of that freedom
\nwill come with challenges all its own.
\nI’ll be returned to face problems that
\nin my extrication have been unknown.
\nLoose ends that will need tying up
\nto restart where I left off.
\nPieces waiting to be picked up ,
\nfor of life’s sweet moments there’s never enough<\/p>\n
So with trepidation and remorse
\nwill I take leave of this place,
\nand with excitement and the will to rise
\nto whatever I will face
\nThat happy moment coming soon
\nwherein I will be free,
\nto rejoin the world I’ve been plucked out of
