Are we aware of air’s pervasive presence?
\nSubtly aware, perhaps.
\nIt is air’s absence,
\nair’s movement,
\nair’s temperature,
\nby which our awareness awakens.<\/p>\n
Reach up, grasp at the unseen,
\nthe air.
\nBring down the empty hand,
\nfilled with air,
\nfilled with light
\nallow that hand the insight
\nto feel what cannot be seen
\nbut is everywhere. <\/p>\n
Fill lungs with life-giving air
\nand pervasive light that is everywhere,
\neverything,
\nwithout which there would be nothing. <\/p>\n
There is nothing
\npervasive; only light,
\nindistinct, unnamed; <\/p>\n
No
\ndivisions,
\ndesignations,
\ndemarcations,
\ndirections,
\nnor
\ndimensions.<\/p>\n
Only light.
\nThe nameless shapeless reality
\nthat is sublime consciousness.<\/p>\n
Like the air
\nwe move through this reality
\nunaware<\/p>\n
Like the air
\nwe find nourishment and peace
\nin this reality,
\neverywhere<\/p>\n
No need to reach, grasp,
\nclutch at the light.
\nIt is, already, always,
\nthere. <\/p>\n
