Sure signs of death approaching:
\nDeath of the individual,
\nDeath of the hope,
\nDeath of the dream;
\nDeath of the nightmare we thought was reality
\nBut was in reality, dream.
\nDeath of the life that is
\nThis nightmare-dream-life-death
\nThat is all of us.<\/p>\n
Death of the death of the end.<\/p>\n
Sure signs:<\/p>\n
No thought;
\nUncontrolled desire;
\nNo reaction.
\nMindless obedience to a self-set master;
\nMindless taking of a self-set bait;
\nMindlessly following propensities of the masses;
\nMindless involuntary mithridatism.<\/p>\n
Mindless voting for projections and accumulations
\nOf society’s vices and
\nMindless support of those vices
\nIncarnate in leaders.<\/p>\n
Allowing manipulation of the self
\nAnd of the individual
\nIn the realm of the masses:<\/p>\n
Then that death has arrived.<\/p>\n
Billions of living souls are dead:
\nBreathing, speaking, working, obeying –
\nStill functionally dead.
\nUnable, dead, to think for themselves;
\nUnable, dead, to control their own lives;
\nUnable, dead, to live for themselves.
\nUnable, individually nullified, to be
\nOther than dead.<\/p>\n
It’s still a war, in war or peace,
\nBetween man and man’s own self and
\nMan’s own selflessness.
\nThe war to find the self and live
\nFor the self
\nBegins tomorrow, continues
\nYesterday,
\nAnd ends now.<\/p>\n
