Each day passes,
\nPasses, long, long and hard.
\nAs here we toil relentlessly,
\nThrough an undergrowth
\nOf an underhanded scheme of life
\nIn this underworld:
\nThis world.
\nToil and tribulation,
\nStruggle and pain,
\nIn each day passing.
\nToil and tribulation
\nFor pathetic gain.
\nToil and tribulation
\nIn each god-sent daily gift.<\/p>\n
I am told each day is a
\nGod sent gift,
\nAnd life is a gift of god.<\/p>\n
But this gift,
\nThis deific offering from this
\nGod is the very thing
\nThat holds us,
\nKeeps us, takes us
\nAnd rapes us.
\nFor with each day
\nComes the toiling,
\nThe tribulation,
\nThe strife and pain.
\nEach day brings
\nFar far less worth
\nThan we could gain,
\nOr should be gaining.<\/p>\n
Each gift from God,
\nEach day, is as the
\nTrojan gift,
\nA gift longed for and
\nDesired with all our
\nEnergy,
\nThat once accepted brings
\nMore pain, more delusion,
\nMore disharmony than
\nWe ever could have
\nImagined.<\/p>\n
It was a gift from the
\nGod of our Selves,
\nSo well accepted
\nThat now we have become
\nEngrossed in that gift.<\/p>\n
We have lost the contact of the
\nWorlds outside this deific gift
\nOf life, the gift of each
\nDay we experience, the gift of
\nEach day of pain and struggle
\nAnd Loss.<\/p>\n
This gift could be good.
\nIt is what we do with the gift of
\nLife that makes it good or bad.
\nWe must realize and experience the
\nGoodness of this gift before we
\nCan be relieved of this trojan
