A life as this life
Where it would seem
All must be done to reverse
The lack of order of the universe,
Where menial organization
And petty desires must be appeased,
Where flagrant actuality requires
The things in which we believe;
This life takes and
Requires and expends
Our diminutive energies.
Energies thus spent trying to
Reverse the infinite disorder
Of the universe,
Spent in chasing and satisfying
Insatiable desires,
Spent in nefarious creation and
Worshipping of
Ephemeral Gods,
Leads to chronic insufficiency
Of time.
How can there ever be the time
To Appease the insatiable,
Reverse the infinite or
Worship the fallacious.
There can never be the time
To grow and to live.
How tired may one become,
How weary and despondent,
Chasing the impossible,
Appeasing the insatiable,
Worshipping the fallacious.
How tired I am.
Yet how compelled I am
To live and
Continue in this life.
