Truth

If there were but one thing I’d say unto you,
It would be that all is not really true.
Though truth may lead you thus on your path,
Pursuit of truth left such an aftermath
That was not warranted, nor was it wanted.

If this were the only thing I’d say unto you,
Turn deeper within to find what really is true.
Truth can’t be found in books or in words,
For only within can real truth be heard,
From the voices of the selves of yourself.

But should I take the ‘portunity to embellish my statement,
I’d tell you that within you’ll also find contentment.
You’ll find all the love, you’ll also find life,
And a way to deal with the day to day strife
By accepting, and holding, and being the truth.

For truth, be it known to you and to me,
Is the only way through which one can be freed
From the tenure of life and the tenure of death,
And the need and necessity for spiritual growth,
That is part of the freedom of being the truth.
