Corporate

I pour forth my derisions,
On a soul that can’t be satisfied;
Imploring all the visions
That I once held had died.

In viewing this earth’s maladies,
So inculpably malign,
But one vast fallacy
Infects earth at this time:

Corporate greed I tell you
The ignorance of what’s truly right;
It’s what they’re trying to sell you,
That keeps their fires alight.

We must starve the fetid fever,
Taking all the rotten blame,
For it’s you and I and everyone
Can extinguish corporate flame

Before the forests burn and the
Mother gasps for air,
and we children of the planet;
will not have anywhere.
